About the community
Beaver County Rocks reports having been featured in the July 31, 2017 edition of the Beaver County Times.
The group asks members to consult the PINNED POST before submitting questions.
Members paint and hide rocks as spontaneous acts of kindness intended to bring an unexpected smile to someone’s day. Painters share images of their work, while finders post pictures of their discoveries. The group describes the artists’ creations and finders’ happiness as motivation to continue spreading kindness.
The “files” folder contains labels that members decoupage onto the backs of rocks. Each label invites the finder to join the group, post a photograph and hide the rock again. The group also hopes that finders will begin painting and hiding rocks themselves.
The pinned post provides information about the group and its rules, rock-painting instructions, hiding tips and other guidance. The files folder also explains how the group began.
