About the community

Founded on February 5, 2017, this group brings creativity, enjoyment, and a positive spirit to the beautiful city and state the group call home. We find, paint, and hide hand-painted rocks, shells, and other natural treasures. The group draws its inspiration from The Kindness Rocks Project, whose criteria the group follow. Invite friends, enjoy yourself, and share a smile and a little kindness.
- Be kind in everything you publish on the wall.
- Since children see the artwork, keep it appropriate.
- Do not sell personal artwork on the group page; members may contact one another privately.
- Do not post about or promote personal groups.
- Before hiding rocks on business property, obtain the business’s permission.
- Write “Facebook - BlueGrassRockPainters” on the back of your artwork and share a picture in the group’s Facebook group. Post photos of rocks you find as well. A small amount of encouragement can go a long way.
- If a rock speaks to you, you may keep it. Keep the activity going by replacing it with something you have created.
- Use the reaction button to “like or love” posts; here again, a little encouragement makes a real difference. Kindness starts at home, even while the group spread it by leaving rocks for the right person to discover at exactly the right time.
The group closes with an invitation to have fun and keep creating. The group promotes “SMILES, ONE ROCK AT A TIME!”
