About the community
First of all, “just looking” counts as being active too :) Being active does not mean you absolutely have to participate <3
A very warm welcome to everyone who has found the group through the vast reaches of the internet! GlücksSteine Oberberg represents a feeling captured in colour on stone <3
Where you come from does not matter—whether from here, somewhere else or even the moon. Although our name is “Oberberg”, the group has grown far beyond it over the years, and we do not want to set any boundaries. Once again: everyone is welcome.
Show your painted stone artworks, take part in activities such as “Paint my stone”, ask questions, exchange ideas, be creative and make JOY a big priority—just please do not write it on the screen, as it is difficult to remove from there ;)
The essentials in brief:
- ♡ Almost anything is allowed, including decoupage and acrylic painting. Finish by sealing the front and back of your works of art with varnish. This protects our environment, as nothing must come loose from the stone. We are also happy to see new techniques that may still be unfamiliar to us.
- ♡ Giving and keeping: artists are welcome to give away their stones and post them too. Anyone who finds a stone and wants to keep it may also do so. After all, JOY is a major theme here, and keeping a stone is also a compliment to the artist. Feel free to post your thanks as well, because shared joy is the finest joy <3
