The group presents the following information. the description traces the discovery of Happy Stones by chance on Facebook. Because the words “happy” and cheerful caught my attention, I used Google to find out what it involved. I learned that people paint stones and leave them in any pleasant location. Someone else finds the stone and may keep it or leave it in another lovely place immediately or after some time.
Because this was hardly happening in the group’s area yet, I thought it might make a fun new hobby, simply “Just for Fun”. That is how my first little stones were born, and I enjoy it very much. It would be wonderful to see them here again when a finder posts a message.
Anyone who wants to join me in sending more stones travelling on behalf of Drenthe under this group name is very welcome. You do not have to live in Drenthe and may leave the stones anywhere, even outside the Netherlands.
What do you need to do? Very little 😉 Simply paint a beautiful stone and write Happy Stones DR on the back, without quotation marks, together with the FB logo. This lets the finder locate the Facebook page. Feel free to report here whenever another new stone sets off on its journey.
To protect nature, do not use googly eyes, plastic bags around the stones or similar items. Have Fun painting and placing them—and perhaps you will find a stone yourself.
