Happy Stones Groningen welcomes everyone who likes, makes, hides and/or discovers Happy Stones.
Happy Stones are painted stones that make their finders happy. They are left outdoors in clearly visible places, for example by a bench, on a fence, along a walking path or in a park. Every stone names a sender; for us, that is “FB Happy Stones Groningen”.
Post a message there, preferably with a photo, and say where you found the stone. That is enjoyable for the maker 😉 Then let it continue travelling by leaving it again in a suitable place, or keep it yourself. Our aim is to make as many people happy as possible.
Would you like to paint and place stones yourself? We warmly encourage it. A few tips:
- Use water-based acrylic paint—I personally use acrylic pens from Action—and then coat the stone with varnish for protection.
- Do not glue glitter or anything similar to it; it ends up in nature, which is not the intention.
- Do not forget the sender on the back: FB Happy Stones Groningen.
So get started and enjoy yourself. They certainly do not need to be works of art; the enjoyment is what matters.
I created this group solely to give everyone a place where finds can be reported. Otherwise, you are completely free: there will therefore be no events or special challenges for Halloween, Christmas and so forth.
