About the community
Would you and your children like to join in decorating and circulating stones and rocks in Nijmegen and the surrounding area? This fun, creative activity works as follows:
- Go for a walk and look for nice stones or rocks.
- Wash them at home and let them dry.
- Decorate them with a beautiful drawing or message and let them dry again.
- Once dry, apply a coat of varnish.
- Enjoy another walk and place the stone or rock somewhere another person can find it.
You will need stones or rocks, acrylic paint or markers, a can of spray varnish and lots of creativity.
If you find a stone or rock made by someone else, photograph it and share the picture in the Facebook group. You might discover who made your find — how cool is that?
