About the community
Welcome to Les cailloux voyageurs! Created in Haute-Savoie, France, this group was inspired by the American page snohomish county rocks #snocorocks.
The idea is to send your artwork made on stones, pebbles, seashells, pieces of wood and so on travelling. You can be a hider, a finder or both. There are no geographical borders for travelling rocks: take them wherever you wish.
For hiders:
- Find inspiration.
- Decorate a travelling rock.
- Write on the back: “Keep or Hide - your username - FB logo - #lescaillouxvoyageurs”.
- Hide the travelling rock.
- Photograph it.
- Create a photo album bearing your username in this group.
- Add the photograph to your album, with or without a clue. This makes it much easier for finders to report discovering your travelling rocks.
- Wait for someone to find the travelling rock.
For finders:
- Look through the posted photographs and clues, or leave it to chance.
- Go for a walk.
- Photograph your find.
- Locate the album associated with the username written on the rock.
- Post the photograph in the hider's corresponding album: its creator will be delighted to discover its new life.
- You may leave the rock where it is, take it because you like it very much or hide it elsewhere. Whatever you choose, mention it with your photograph.
PS: there is no size limit; it is up to you to decide what makes a suitable rock.
