Welcome to the love on the rocks NORMANDIE community. Post your discoveries and creations here as well as in the national group.
Very popular in the United Kingdom, this free and easy activity allows adults and children to spread good cheer. Let us bring it to France: paint rocks, hide them in nature and let strangers find them by chance. The more participants there are, the greater your chances of encountering one ❤️
You can show your artwork, give a vague indication of its hiding place — region, neighbourhood, etc. —, share a photograph of a rock you found to delight its painter if they see it, and ask your questions about this hobby.
- Be kind to one another.
- Posting a creation allows others to use it as inspiration. If you do not want it used as an example, do not post it or state this clearly.
- Every skill level is accepted, from professionals to beginners holding a marker for the first time. The aim is to create and have fun.
- Encourage members who share their rocks: a few kind words are always appreciated.
- If you have enough room, write the group's name on the back to invite the finder to join the community and perhaps post a photograph.
- You can specify whether you want the rock to be hidden again.
You will need rocks, paint — acrylic gives the best result —, paintbrushes and/or Sharpie or Posca markers, and varnish applied by brush or spray in a well-ventilated place to protect the artwork ❤️

A Facebook page has the same name but is not connected with the group. To our knowledge, it was created by an English family who discuss this hobby there; it is more like a blog and appears to be fairly inactive. To join the “love on the rocks” community already established in the United Kingdom, this group is the right one to join 👍
Painting themes, events and other activities will be organised from time to time. Feel free to suggest your own in your region.
