About the community
We are the original Naples Painted Rocks, a community treasure hunt in Naples, Florida, USA. We paint rocks and place them in outdoor public spaces around the city. If you find one bearing our name, keep it as a small treasure or hide it again so the fun continues. Join the group and post a photograph, or email pictures to NaplesPaintedRocks@gmail.com.
Guidelines
- Write “Naples Painted Rocks” somewhere on every rock, so finders know its group.
- Use outdoor public places only, such as parks, playgrounds, shopping centres, libraries and tourist attractions including Naples Pier.
- Do not use inappropriate images or wording. The post will be removed and the member immediately banned.
- No advertising of any kind is permitted. This community shares an interest in painting and hiding rocks; business posts and spam will not be tolerated.
- Products and rocks must never be sold here. This is not a business page, and sales posts will be deleted.
- If you notice an inappropriate comment, post or advertisement, select REPORT TO ADMIN.
- Do not take painting stones from private property or landscaping. Bags of rocks are available from any home-improvement shop or garden centre.
- Choose paint or markers able to withstand Florida’s sun, rain and other weather. We recommend a clear sealant to help prevent paint from cracking, peeling or yellowing and to protect it from water, sunlight and salty air.
