About the community
The group was created as a strong movement that brings communities together, gets people outdoors and active, allows free self-expression and spreads happiness. Hiding rocks is essentially one large outdoor treasure hunt for every age.
How to play
- Paint a rock.
- Label its reverse with “painting rocks!”, state whether it may be kept or hidden again so nobody thinks they are stealing it, and add the Facebook logo so the finder knows which platform to use.
- Hide it. Common locations include car parks, benches, parks, outside business premises, hiking trails, trees and libraries. Keep rocks out of national parks and monuments.
- Post photographs and location clues on the page.
- If you discover a rock, inspect it for wording. Enter any label into Facebook’s search bar to identify its original group; some rocks travel astonishing distances. Then photograph it and post the place where you found it.
These “kindness” rocks exist to lift people through simple kind acts. Make it your mission to brighten somebody’s day. I would love to see everyone’s creativity, so please share your art ❤
