About the community

The group's founder was inspired by PRMD Painted Rocks of Maryland and wanted to bring the same spirit to Pennsylvania while encouraging friends elsewhere to do likewise.

The group encourages creative rock painting and leaving these gifts for others to discover ❤️ Found rocks may be kept or hidden again to continue sharing that goodwill; finders are asked to photograph them and post the pictures on the PROPA page.

The founder also plans to share regional recommendations, practices to avoid and rock etiquette as they learn.
