Perhaps you have come across a decorated pebble by chance during a walk. This game originally came from the United Kingdom and aims to spread joy: it makes both the person who discovers the pebble and the person who drew, decorated, and hid it happy.
This activity welcomes young and old, whether novice or experienced artists. Let the artist inside you awaken.
How to Participants can take part
Decorate pebbles using paint, felt-tip pens, or acrylic markers, then varnish them to prevent the pictures from disappearing. Above all, do not glue small objects onto them: they could come loose, pollute our beautiful natural environment, or be swallowed by animals.
Hide your creations outdoors, in your village, or near busy places so that strangers can find them. Photos can serve as clues. participants can also write the name of our Facebook group on the back to encourage the finder to take a photo, allowing you to receive news.
The pebble may be kept as a treasure or hidden again elsewhere: this is how your artwork travels.
Without wishing to lecture anyone—everyone remains free to make their own choices—we must inform you that, under Article L.321-8 of the French Environmental Code, collecting pebbles from the coast or a riverbank can result in a fine of €1,500.
